The Selby is one of those endless Internet archives. For years it has served as inspiration and I've developed a lot of admiration for the personalities and personal spaces shared. It's also been of my favorite digital archives to share with fellow creatives who are close/personal with us and the brand. The original premise behind The Selby has always been to show personal space and how it relates to the type of person who has built their ideal atmosphere, usually an artist, designer or professional creative in some capacity. At the end of the impressive slideshow detailing the space and its highlights there was a small portion of Q&A presented in child like handwriting and always vibrate in color keeping the youthfulness very present. Over the years and since the release of the first "The Selby" book - the website has taken a turn into commercializing itself. The transition became apparent after their extensive coverage inside the infamous Louis Vuitton atelier and E. Zegna house. I might at the time I was enthralled with the access they allowed the average man but since then I haven't much enjoyed the new direction and the behind the scenes with other brands. But I know that Lynch has a different perspective of how The Selby has evolved.

I can't say whether or not I agree - but you may.

Over the years I have been a core follower of a blog & website by the name of  "The Selby". The Selby has been a go-to source for the past 2 years when I first open up my computer & for good reason. Todd Selby who is the creator, author & photographer of The Selby does the best job of what people like to call in the blog world "original content".

His point of views draws attention, his photographs tell stories of their own & his directions are always forward. What the Selby is today compared to it's original presentation is a different experience than what you may have witnessed if you were a reader a few years ago - I say few because The Selby turned out to be a instant overnight success. Today Selby's proposition is the visual side of different designers, friends of Todd, chefs, brand owners, photographers, illustrators, etc of their work & living spaces. No matter the level of their craft, whether they are your favorite or never heard of, Todd gives each creator a personal stage to present their personal space, or if Todd were to say it "place". All this tells us as readers is that his resourcing is impeccable! His website is so influential with over 100,000 views daily - it has caught the attention of top companies from all over the world to have reached out to Todd for collaboration proposals.

"The Selby is in your place"  so it's only right to take a visit.
