Have you ever had to hear from someone else what one didn't have the guts to tell you? Ever had to rely on the grapevine for information that should've come directly from the source?

Heather Chelan has. The Seattle native, now based in London, expresses her frustration with receiving these 'Grapes' on a song by the same name. Fed up with the indecisive and oblivious nature of this particular individual, she has some difficulties weighing out the pros and cons of the situation.

"My homegirls saying don't try, you're only gonna waste my time. We're walkin' on a thin line. I know you know I'm prime."

Hesitantly, she offers up an ultimatum over calm and collected production by Fred Cox. Everyone has a breaking point, you know.

Heather's vocals are sweet, yet soulful. It's as if her stony side could cut through all the sugar in an instant, though she may not show it often. It's hard to tell. Grapes is the first track posted to both her SoundCloud and Spotify accounts.

Doing a bit more digging, I found that she appeared on AMC's Talking Dead back in April 2016, sending Twitter ablaze with pleas to make her an official cohost. More recently, she has taken to her Instagram, showcasing her vocal range and instrumental expertise. Last September, she shared a chilling rendition of Valerie by the late Amy Winehouse. A few months later followed a playful take on Jill Scott's He Loves Me.

I'm very eager to see what's next. Is Grapes a stand alone track, or perhaps a single from a forthcoming album? Will her next release be a visual or maybe a collab with another artist? I will stay tuned and get back to you. Don't worry, I promise I won't have you waiting to hear about it through the grapevine. ; )
