100 WAYS X SCOOBY MILES FT. LAVISH TRE
Scooby Miles continues the BAKARI’S WORLD run with the release of this well plotted visual for ‘100 WAYS’. This song is easily one of the crowd favorites from the project. First off, this production by Quincy James (DJQJ) is some of the bounciest work that we have heard from him. There are strong ‘The Neptunes’ elements to this sound that are buried in the heart of the beat and keep your head nod and shoulder bop consistent the whole song. There are a ton of QJ beats that I have had the grateful pleasure to sit in on or hear while being a fly on the wall but this one is in my Top 5 of his catalog in terms of his more commercial sound. It’s exciting too see both sides of the coin. And it was the perfect playground for Scooby to run with an off-timed flow pattern that is a lot of fun to follow along with as a listener. It’s also easy - easy always makes things fun because everyone can join.
Conceptually the video is ideal. Scooby is quite the visionary when it’s time to get the camera rolling and he and Dawson Knight communicated well like a pick and roll. Dawson was able to translate Scooby’s vision and add production value to the final outcome - along with physically shooting it as well. If you can’t tell the video is an extended infomercial about how to get money ‘100 Ways’ and how NO hustle is too small - quite simply there are literally hundreds of ways to make a buck but it’s about having the mentality to go and get it. The video concept puts Scooby in the shoes of the working class hustler, doing anything to catch a check from newspaper delivery to valet to pizza delivery to being a therapist and all the way back again. It’s a fun journey from the single heavy artist who has a couple more releases up his sleeve before the ‘BAKARI’S WORLD’ run is done.
