SPORTS: Tis the Season for College Basketball ...

Our favorite time of the year has began & the first big game is here my beloved Duke blue devils vs those Kentucky Wildcats, who will be the first to set the tone for the season.

Both teams having so many new faces the game started pretty slow with Duke moving at a pace that seemed be nearly non exist; but let's just say both squads have some growing up to do, Marshall Plumlee putting the team on his back scoring the first 9 points keeping us alive the entire game while Kentucky caught fire as the minutes winded down in the first half UK began looking like a unit leading Duke who was still fighting hard from the glass.

Okay so the second half became a blur as UK continued to wipe the floor with us using our mistakes against us and turning them into 13 points & a 10 point deficit that we could not shake. Kentucky's transitions were almost better than a Microsoft PowerPoint, they just took over the game. Let us give the shoutout to returning sophomore Tyler Ulis becoming a leader running the floor and ending the game with 18 points - 6 assists with everyone else playing their roles this increased the lead more & more. As I type this up bitterness is setting in with so many small things adding up to our first loss of the season, nonetheless Kentucky played better ball - until our next face off.
