Black Owned: TMT Sweets

TMT Sweets is a Black Owned custom desserts company. Owner Mikayla has been crushing the game for a bit now, her and her mother started the company in 2014, the same year we opened our doors. So we personally have been following her since their second year and have been able to see the business grow as outsiders.

I believe it is still a mother daughter company but has of late it feels like Mikayla has really taken the reigns on her side of the business. We see less of her mom and more output from Mikayla, that’s not to say mom isn’t still around making thing happen. Where Mikayla has been winning most and will continue to win is her social media consistency and presence. Baking Twitter is a popular subculture on the app and you’ll often see a master piece going viral usually for its pop culture reference. Mikayla has quote tweet engagements all day long whenever she posts a finished product. She’s also savvy enough to take you on the journey  through time lapses and step by step moments on finishing touches. All of eTcTacoma is recommending her for family gatherings important events and those just because you care moments. She’s even willing to get things done in the 25th hour for those of us who seem to procrastinate our way life. Recently this turned in a high level cake from a client by 1PM when the order wasn’t placed and accepted by Mikayla until 5PM the day before. Its that kind of customer service and passion for her business that make her highly recommended over here. And we learned about her latest feat through her Twitter - see it’s working for her all the time.
