Black Owned: Aisle Four

Black owned photo studio and boutique Aisle4our had it’s grand opening Friday, February 25th. While the Aisle4our soft opening has been a blessing for young brands that want to invite their customers out for an experience, not just mundane online shopping. eTceTera brother brand Basics Co. has hosted three amazing pop-up experiences since the Aisle4our opening. It’s a win win for both parties at the end of it all and THAT is what our scene needs to be about. It’s not like that anywhere else that I’ve been to but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. But now it’s also time to meet the tastemakers who host and help curate the pop-up experience and the respective brands they own/operate.

The opening of Aisle4our is reinforcing the pillars of a bridge built by black owned brand owners and creatives. It’s owned by 3 black brand owners Lamarr, Toeb and Malcolm who work day and night event after event to coordinate the daily operations. Then there are two talented and progressive sets of eyes behind the lens Corey and Kane if you can afford their services. The aisle is full. Right now if you’re a rarewear brand (aka an unspent company from the PNW) this is where you want to send your linesheet. This is the breaking point for cool in the apparel sector for WA and it’s the stomping grounds to cultivate your ideas and execute them with your homies.
