MUSIC: HATE X KING DRIS FT. HUEY P for SOUNDWAVES III

King Dris as he is now called with a moniker change in the latter of last year is a Tacoman staple in his own right. For years his plan was to bring together a coalition of Tacoma talent and saw himself as a facilitator in the efforts. He took the role of engineer and recording hub where he built connections and network all while doubling as a featured artist on certain works that came though his studio. But it has been his efforts as an artist that have begun to capture outside attention. Saying it simple Dris can write a song, his sound is modern and taste in production is smart. On "HATE" he links with Seattle mainstay Huey P and it works. It's not the first time so there is obvious chemistry on the track and while Dris sets things up with a truthful chorus and off-step cadence Huey P crushes his verse and adds a flare that is necessary.
